Statement about Coronavirus – COVID-19

The Avenue Child Contact Centre are following Public Health England and

The Department of Education’s advice for Schools and Colleges in relation to the management of the Coronavirus Pandemic. It was announced yesterday that all schools are to close on Friday 20th March until further notice. We have therefore taken the decision that it is advisable for the Child Contact Centre to close until further notice. We are very sorry to have to do this, and we recognise that it will mean that some families will not be able to meet for the foreseeable future, but it is essential that we follow government advice and try to keep vulnerable people as safe as possible.

We will be back in touch as soon as we know when we are able to open again.

We wish you and your family all the best and hope that you all stay safe.

Avenue Child Contact Centre

Registered Charity Number 1079998

Welcome to our website. We are a supported Child Contact Centre and aim to enhance relationships following family breakdown by offering contact in a safe and comfortable environment for parents who are not living with their children. We are unable to offer supervised contact.

Please note that a Child Contact Centre is not a place for negotiation - it puts into practice agreements made elsewhere.

We are open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from solicitors, CAFCASS, Social Services, Mediators and the Courts. As a voluntary Child Contact Centre we do not have the facilities to deal with clients between contact sessions. If you are a parent and need to speak to someone between sessions please contact whoever referrered you to the Centre or Citizens Advice if you need legal advice.

We meet at Avenue Baptist Church in Westcliff-on-Sea. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH BETWEEN CONTACT SESSIONS. THE CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR DOES NOT WORK FOR THE CHILD CONTACT CENTRE AND WILL BE UNABLE TO HELP YOU. We only use the church halls on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month and are not there at other times.
